Going out to demonstrations, [initiating] revolutions and nurturing the youth upon it; is this from the methodology of Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaa'ah or not, whether [carried] out within or outside the Muslim countries?
This is the methodology
قال الإمام أحمد
إياكم أن تكتبوا عن أحد من أصحاب الأهواء ؛ قليلا ولا كثيرا
Imaam Ahmad [rahimahullaah] said: Beware of writing down [knowledge] from one of the people of desires-be it a little
Unity is based on the Book and the Sunnah and not bidah. We do not look for a common enemy to unite against because as soon as we overcome him, we start fighting amongst ourselves.
Ibn Abbaas [radiyallaahu-anhumaa] said: Do not sit with the people of desires [i.e. ahlul bidah], for indeed sitting with them will cause sickness to the hearts.
Ali [radiyallaahu-anhu] said about the Khawaarij:
They are neither Qurraa [i.e. reciters of the Qur’aan who follow it as it should be followed] nor are they a people of astute understanding in the religion, nor are they scholars of Tafseer. By Allaah!
