The Man Who Urinated In The Masjid – A Short Derived Benefit By Shaikh Abdullah Al-Bukhaari in His Explanation of Umdatul Ahkaam

Narrated Anas bin Malik: A bedouin urinated in the mosque and the people ran to (prevent and restrain) him. Allaah’s Messenger said: “Do not interrupt his urination (i.e. let him finish).” Then the Prophet asked for a tumbler of water and poured the water over the place of urine.” [Bukhaari and Muslim]

Shaikh Abdullaah Al-Bukhaari (may Allaah preserve him) said:

From the benefits of this hadeeth is that softness is employed towards the ignorant person until he is taught, and as long as his opposition to the Sunnah is not done out of obstinacy and pride.
